MediaCAT Sync now supports Subtitles for the Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing (SDH), which improves the user experience not only for those who have difficulty with hearing but also for individuals who prefer to watch videos without sound. The SDH feature extracts over 30 types of sound effects from the video, such as thud sounds, doorbells, and car horns.
To enable SDH Support in any language, simply turn on the switch when creating a new Sync task. However, please note that SDH is not triggered when you provide a transcript file, as the transcript may already include words for SDH support. Additionally, all captured sound effects will currently be written in English, even if the media source language is not English. We are aware of this issue and plan to address it soon.
